The IIN operates programs that engage and function across all 15 hubs. These include large-scale funding opportunities, initiatives designed to serve the entire state, and the IIN’s seed grant program.

Governors State received an NSF Development Award to lead an IIN project for the Regional Innovation Engines program based around the concept of reimagining the supply chain for the 21st century.

The IIN is part of a collaboration led by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to provide digital skills training for returning citizens.

The IIN Innovation Awards honor researchers from across the state.

The Social Innovation and Impact Seed Grants are intended to provide funding for early-stage social innovation projects that translate research into activities that directly affect lives and address complex critical social problems.
