Research Initiatives
One of the IIN’s key goals is to operate as a network of networks, complementing and augmenting efforts and capabilities of each hub. One way it will do this is through large-scale research initiatives backed by state and federal grant funding.
Previous Proposal Submissions

The IIN submitted a collaborative proposal for the NSF Engines program based around the concept of reimagining the supply chain for the 21st century.

The IIN coordinated an 8-hub application to determine the jobs and training curricula needed for Illinois' clean energy transition, and plan, develop and launch workforce development programs

The IIN joined numerous partners to form the Clean Tech Energy Coalition, coordinated by mHUB. SIU Edwardsville is leading CTEC's workforce development project along with other IIN partners.

The IIN participated in a proposal submitted by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity as a response to the First Step Act.
