Adrienne Pickett

Dr. Pickett joined the Office of the Vice President for Economic Development & Innovation (OVPEDI) as a Visiting Coordinator for Broadband in June 2022. Prior to joining OVPEDI, was a University of Illinois Extension 2021-22 Illini Science Policy Scholar with the Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Illinois Office of Broadband.

Dr. Pickett has worked in education at many levels. She taught for two years as a pre-kindergarten teacher and worked for more than a decade in higher education as a college instructor, adult educator, and academic and career advisor. She continues to assist the Illinois Office of Broadband in its ongoing efforts to build an equitable and inclusive digital ecosystem for the state. Specifically, Dr. Pickett supports Broadband Regional Engagement for Adoption & Digital Equity (READY) program participants on strategic planning, data collection, program management, and community empowerment.
