Watch Webinar: Illinois Broadband Maps Showcase and User Guide
Following the Aug. 25, 2026, announcement that Illinois' plan to use federal BEAD funding had been approved, Illinois Broadband Lab's (IBL) principal data scientist Shubhika Agarwal held a webinar, where she shared many of the maps that she and the IBL team have created to help decision-makers and residents understand where and why broadband investments are being made in Illinois.
Broadband maps go beyond location. By visualizing this data into maps, the Illinois Broadband Lab translates broadband policy into community action by informing state strategy. Learning how to use these powerful tools will make broadband data accessible, actionable, and understandable for decision-makers at all levels.
