Join the IIN CEC Best Practice Speaker Series on April 16
Join us on Wednesday, April 16, at 1 p.m. CT for the next edition of the Illinois Innovation Network Corporate Engagement Committee Best Practices Speaker Series. This presentation, followed by a Q&A session, will provide corporate and external engagement professionals with additional tools to build and grow relationships with companies.
Hear from Jim Foley, Bradley University Director of Business and Nonprofit Partnerships, and Dr. Josh Lewer, Associate Dean of New Initiatives in the Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology & Foster College of Business. Their presentation will discuss Bradley’s strategic partnership with Caterpillar, Inc. (CAT). As one of Bradley’s longest and most impactful partners, they will provide an overview of their history working with CAT, as well as the current partnership activities, including their engineering and business convergence projects.

Jim Foley
Director of Business and Nonprofit Partnerships, Bradley University
Mr. Foley helps develop new external partnerships to support the university’s sponsored research, innovation, and student engagement. He is also the director of the Turner Center for Entrepreneurship, a state- and federally funded program that supports local business startups, growth, and innovation. Before joining Bradley University, Foley worked in the computer industry based in Europe. Mr. Foley received his MBA from the London Business School at the University of London, and his undergraduate degree from Knox College.
Dr. Josh Lewer
Associate Dean of New Initiatives in the Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology & Foster College of Business, Bradley University
Dr. Lewer’s research interests include globalization, economic growth, and economic education. He has published over 40 refereed journal articles and several books, and has served as co-editor of the Journal of Economic Insight since 2018. He is also Chair of the Economics and Finance Department. In his role as Associate Dean of New Innovation, Josh manages the CAT strategic partnership, manages the capstone convergence projects and supports new initiatives in the colleges of engineering and business. Dr. Lewer holds a PhD. in economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
